Wedding Venues in Lancashire & The North West

Favourite Lancashire venues...

Barton Grange, Preston

Bags of space, romantic private garden - and Rob, the nutty resident MC.  Very professional, friendly approach, attention to detail and great food.

Calf’s Head, Worston, Clitheroe

Very friendly family atmosphere, accommodating, lovely views of Pendle. It seems to work really well with smaller weddings. Great for bar snacks too.

Dunkenhalgh, Accrington

A classic manor house turned into a modern hotel without losing its atmosphere. Its also very convenient for the M65, has some nice areas for indoor photographs, and it is said to be haunted...

Eaves Hall, West Bradford, Clitheroe

Eaves Hall is had a major refit in spring 2007 and is looking amazing. It has still got the country house atmosphere, and simply the best grounds for wedding photography ever. Really nice staff, and I'm told, excellent food.

Gibbon Bridge, Chipping

Classy, contemporary, excellent if you’re looking to get away from the country inn style.  Well organised, good food, very professional. Lovely suites – must be the largest hotel rooms ever.  For an American style outdoor wedding the gazebo is gorgeous.

Higher Trapp Hotel, Read (near Padiham)

Excellent venue on the slopes of Pendle Hill.  Spacious, lovely grounds, quite laid back management.

The Inn at Whitewell, Trough of Bowland

Wonderful scenery - great for outdoor shots.  Looking really good after a major refit, and it has managed to keep its still got the quirky atmosphere. If you're really intrepid, the stepping stones across the river hodder give a really fun twist to group shots.

Mytton Fold, Langho, Blackburn

Spacious, capable of holding receptions for large numbers.  Specially landscaped gardens, and even a golf course.

Mitton Hall, Mitton (near Whalley)

Beautiful medieval manor house with galleried hall and a wonderful atmosphere.  Spacious bar and grounds near the Ribble.

Moorcock Inn, Waddington Fell, Clitheroe

Very nice people, professional, good grounds, lovely ballroom.

Northcote Manor, Langho, Blackburn

Expensive, but if you happen to have won the lottery, the place to go!  Surprisingly relaxed and laid back.  Northcote Manor also has a very slick off-site catering service.

The Oaks, Reedley, Burnley

A converted Victorian mansion with a fabulous stained glass window and staircase rising from the reception hall.

Samlesbury Hall near Preston

Excellent grounds, very romantic, nice people.  The perfect venue for a medieval or gothic wedding. Quite creepy in parts, it has a resident ghost.

Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn

Right on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border.  Excellent facilities, good for indoor photography in the cloisters area and reception.
