Inn on the Lake, Ullswater
One of the most beautiful hotels in the Lake District - possibly the world. The only problem is that nothing would ever match it.
Cragwood Hotel, Windermere.
In a beautiful position on the shore, Cragwood has wonderful food, its own jetty,and a gazebo licensed for weddings in the beautiful gardens. Great location between Bowness and Ambleside.
Langdale Chase Hotel, Bowness
Very classy, has several rooms licensed for weddings.
Leighton Hall, Carnforth
A private castle! Fascinating building, wonderful country house atmosphere.
Storrs Hall, Windermere
A beautiful old mansion on the shores of Windermere, has its own landing stage. Enormous bedrooms!
Swan, Newby Bridge
With the River Leven on one side and Windermere on the other, its brilliant. Excellent spa facilities.
Brantwood, Coniston
The home built by John Ruskin is now licensed for wedding ceremonies. Its an historic place, with spectacular views, not the place for a wild party, but for anyone interested in art or edwardian culture, its a gem.
