The new website is now up and live, hopefully that's obvious. There's still a lot of old archive stuff online but after few clever tweaks it should still be visible. There is still some content which will take a bit more work.
I'm canvassing opinions on a new website update - time I had a virtual facelift. (Probably time for a real facelift too). Anyway, the potential ideas are at Here Any opinions would be welcome.
The new site will still be called Jeanette Dawson Photography, and the new domain will be: Here The site that's sitting there at the moment is an old idea I was playing around with - please ignore!
Just wondering, as there are supposedly so many personality types, are there "bride personality types", such as "Chic bride" - possibly inspired by Audrey Hepburn or "Rebel bride" or "Designer bride"? Just wondering, cos I think I might put some kind of quiz on the new website.
Here goes...
Sometimes people ask if I object to other people taking photographs when I'm shooting groups. Quite simply, no, and I'd rather other people were actually standing behind me rather than at the side - that way its easier to keep the attention. Here's a shot Mike grabbed of me recently, shooting a group outside Sheffield winter gardens. (I'm the one with the biggest camera)

Purple is definitely the colour right now. I usually wear a military style jacket, in the hope it will give me some authority!
Just a perfect day...
A wintery wedding, in a beautiful village church, followed by a lovely reception by the River Trent at the Priest House at Castle Donington. We were a bit concerned about the weather, but turned out to be perfect. Stephen and Katy didn't stop smiling all day. sneak preview.
It might look warm, but everyone except Katy was a bit chilly. I think she was running on adrenalin.
Cutlers Hall wedding at last!
The first wedding of the year, Jenny & Steven at the Cutler's Hall, Sheffield. The Cutlers Hall is an ancient institution in Sheffield, and I've wanted to shoot a wedding there ever since I first saw it. What a brilliant way to start the year, and Jenny was a star.
